The brighter weather has been out and I can't be the only one having a refocus on my skincare routine?

I've always been a big fan of SPF all year around, but for summer, I quite enjoy a tinted SPF in place of foundation. Tropic Skincare is one I have used before, its got 2 shades, is fully vegan and cruelty free, plus the business is carbon neutral! I love that their ethics align well with my own.

As I'm on the pale side, I wear the light to medium but in honesty, its a little dark still, so the sun drops in my moisturiser is the perfect way to gradually give my skin a glow up while avoiding sun damage ☀️

I can enjoy my time in the sun stress free knowing I have my factor 50 on 🥰 what SPF do you swear by?

When it feels like even the eco companies are greenwashing us, you know it's bad!

ran testing on the top 5 selling bamboo toilet roll companies in the UK. The resuls show that only 2 came out as containing 100% bamboo, while the other 3 all contained less than 30% bamboo.

and both came out top with 100% bamboo. Excellent news for me as I pay extra to specifically buy the WGAC bamboo toilet rolls.

However, the other 3 results were as follows:
Bazoo 26.1%
Naked sprout 4%
Bumboo 2.7%

Does this mean they are marketing to us with lies? Possibly not, their supply chain may be at fault. It doesn't, however, fill me with confidence as a consumer to buy from them though.

Which eco toilet roll brand have you been using? Do these results make you want to switch brands?

If you're not sure what the fuss is about, it's only toilet paper after all - currently around 2 million trees are cut down each day to meet our demand for clean bottoms. Bamboo grows much faster than other trees. This makes it more sustainable as less deforestation is required. It also decomposes quicker naturally.

But 2 million trees a day for toilet roll sounds bonkers right? Imagine the sheer amount of land coverage that is vanishing daily.

I spent yesterday rolling my eyes at the amount of people asking others to sign up to Temu for free money.

Temu are known for being unethical and the reason their products are cheap are because they use slave labour. Did folks really think they were giving away all this money out of the kindness of their hearts to win new customers?

I'm not the least but shocked to hear the terms and conditions mean Temu can sell your data and details from this scam.

I just love this. My friend Emma recently started working at a nursery school and took it upon herself to collect plastic waste which she then turned into this fantastic notice board to help teach the kids (and their parents) about plastic waste. I'd love to see more schools and nursery schools shouting about sustainability to normalise making the greener choices in life.

Only went and forgot I was in BelfastTelegraph this week. I was chatting about Veganuary and how to make it accessible for families.
I love how far Veganuary has come in the 10 years from it began and how many people it's helped encourage to choose vegan meals (even if they haven't gone vegan).
In theory, in my 4+ years as a vegan, I've saved the lives of around 800 animals and almost 3,000kg of CO2 (i used the vegetarian calculator website for these numbers).

If you are giving Veganuary a go, I'm proud of you! You are making a difference to animals and the planet with each meal choice you make.
