Since qualifying in 2004 with a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy, I have had over 17 years of ongoing experience.

I have attended multiple courses over the years as I always like to keep up to date with current trends and learn new skills. I believe that everybody deserves a bit of 'me' time, and therefore I like to take the trouble to ensure that all my clients are made to feel important and that they want to come back for more.

Ten years ago today, I opened the doors to my very own salon. It was terrifying at the time, but I was so lucky to have the support and help of my family — especially my brother Jon, my mum and dad, and my wonderful existing clients who believed in me from the very beginning.

Today, I feel incredibly proud and grateful to still be here, not only still going but thriving 10 years later. At the same time, it’s an emotional milestone because my mum isn’t here to see it. I know how proud she would have been, as she encouraged and supported me in so many ways to help me get where I am today.

When I first started, I never imagined what the next decade would bring. None of this would have been possible without my amazing loyal clients, and all of my past and present staff who have supported me along the way.

I’m also so lucky to now have such a lovely little team with Paris and Lily, who I’m sure you’ll all agree are such an asset to the salon.
