✨ Tip Tuesday | It's not "just a colour"... it's science. 🎨🧪

One of the biggest misconceptions about Permanent Makeup is that choosing a pigment is as simple as picking your favourite shade... but it really isn't.

When I choose a pigment, I'm not just looking at the colour in the bottle. I'm considering things like:
• Your natural skin tone and undertone
• Fitzpatrick skin type
• Existing PMU (if you have any)
• Scar tissue
• How your skin is likely to heal and retain pigment
• Whether your old PMU has faded warm, cool or ashy

This is why I see so many clients who have been left with brows that have turned grey, blue, red or orange over time, or lip blush that has healed much brighter or cooler than expected.

Correction work isn't about simply tattooing over the top. It often requires carefully selecting pigments to neutralise unwanted tones before we can create the beautiful, natural result you're hoping for.

Every face and every skin is different, which is why I never take a "one pigment suits everyone" approach. Your treatment is tailored specifically to you.

✨ If you've got old PMU that you're unhappy with, don't assume it can't be corrected. I'd be happy to assess it during a consultation and talk you through your options.
