Bank Holiday Monday… but the order list says otherwise 🤍

After a lovely break, I’m back in the studio today catching up on the orders that came in while I was away — and there’s definitely plenty to keep me busy!

Candles to pour, vessels to make, wax melts and mists to prepare… one order at a time. 🕯️

And I absolutely LOVE seeing how many of today’s orders are for our refillable candles. 🤍 It’s so lovely to see more of you choosing a candle that’s designed to be enjoyed, refilled and used again and again.

I’m incredibly grateful to come home to orders waiting for me. Thank you, as always, for choosing to support my little Lancashire business.

And just like that… back to reality 🏡🐾

Home at around 3am this morning, the first load of washing is already on 🧺 and today is officially all about unpacking, getting ourselves sorted and lots of dog cuddles after being away. ❤️

Although Molly seems to have decided that her only job today is staying firmly attached to Rob… and I can’t really blame her. 😂🐶

Holiday mode off. Home mode on. ❤️

Last day in the sunshine ☀️🌴

One last day of blue skies, poolside views and soaking up as much Portuguese sunshine as possible before we head home tonight. 🇵🇹🤍

It’s been such a lovely break — time to switch off, explore, eat far too much good food and recharge the batteries.

But I have to admit… I’m also really excited to get back into the studio. There’s rather a lot waiting for me when I get home, including the final preparations for our Autumn Edit launching 1st September. 🍂🕯️

So today, I’m making the most of this view before swapping palm trees for Lancashire very shortly! 😂

A pretty big milestone for The Lancashire Candle Company arrived last week… in the form of five cardboard boxes! 😂🤍

This is my first ever bulk order of candle glass.

Until now, I’ve always bought our candle vessels in much smaller quantities, so committing to a bulk order felt like quite a big step for the business.

And you might have spotted something else…

Our glass is changing. 👀

In the comparison photo, our current white glass is on the right, alongside our new glass on the left. The new vessel is slightly larger, while keeping the clean, minimal white glass look that I love for the collection.

The candle in our current glass is also a little sneak peek of one of the new Autumn fragrances I’ve been working on ready for September. 🍂🕯️

And there’s more happening behind the scenes too. I’m still working on the idea of making our glass candles refillable. There’s plenty of testing to do before I know whether I can make it work exactly as I want it to, but it’s something I’m really keen to develop. ♻️

It might just look like a delivery of glass, but for a small business, placing my first bulk order feels like a huge milestone.

We’re a little sad that we can’t be there with a Lancashire Candle Company stall this year, but we’re delighted to still be able to support such a wonderful local event and such an important cause. 💗

A huge good luck to every dog and owner taking part today — whether you’re entering a class, cheering from the sidelines or simply heading along for a lovely day out. We hope you all have a fantastic time! 🐶🐾

And, of course, a special good luck to all the gorgeous girls entering our Prettiest Lady class. We have a feeling that one might be particularly difficult to judge! 🥰

We’re so excited to launch our brand‑new Raise the WOOF Dog Show! 🐶🐾

A fun, friendly community day celebrating our four‑legged friends and supporting East Lancashire Hospice.

We’ve got a brilliant mix of entertainment and activities lined up throughout the day such as wellbeing sessions like doggie yoga and soundbath, fun outdoor challenges including gun dog scurry and welly wanging. There’ll be stalls, face painting, games, a raffle and much more, making it a lively, family‑friendly day with plenty to see and do. 🐾

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Chetham Farm Retreat, it’s the perfect day out for dog lovers, families and anyone who wants to enjoy the outdoors while helping make a difference.

A little holiday work, but I can’t complain about the office today ☀️💻

While Rob’s out playing golf, I’ve found myself a sunny spot to catch up on a few bits for The Lancashire Candle Company.

I might technically be away, but there are always ideas being scribbled down, plans being made and little things happening behind the scenes.

Business owner life… just with a slightly better view today 🤍🌿

Apparently this is what a golf holiday looks like when you don’t actually play golf… ☀️📖⛳️

A good book, blue skies and a very peaceful view while the golfers do their thing.

I could definitely get used to this version of the game. 🤍

A little something different from the studio 🤍

This personalised candle was created for a client celebrating Archie’s 17th birthday — hand-poured in Rhubarb & Elderflower and then engraved using my xTool to create a completely bespoke gift.

I love being able to add that extra personal touch to our candles. Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary or simply a message that means something to someone, engraving transforms a candle into something completely unique.

And once the candle is lit, you still get the beautiful fragrance experience too — this one combines crisp rhubarb with delicate elderflower for a fresh, beautifully balanced scent.

A little studio update 🤍

The Lancashire Candle Company studio will be closed from 19th August until 1st September while I take a short summer break.

If you’ve been thinking about placing an order, please do so before the studio closes so I can get everything made, packed and on its way to you before I leave.

The website will remain open while I’m away, but any orders placed during this time will begin to be processed when I return.

And when the studio doors reopen on 1st September, something rather lovely will be waiting…
