The final day of our Nailtopia stock-making marathon!

We finished preparing the remaining stock, banded the last of our Original Games and made sure everything was finally complete and ready to come with us.

After six days of printing, laminating, cutting, popping, sorting, foiling, banding and packing… we did it!!!

The stock is finished, everything is ready and it’s finally time to take Manicure Roulette® to Nailtopia!

We’ll be bringing all three of our core systems, lots of expansion packs and a little freebie with every purchase made at our stand.

Day Five - and the Nailtopia manufacturing marathon continued until 9:30pm.

We finished everything that still needed printing, popped out the remaining cards and carried on banding our Original Games ready for the stand.

Then, just as we were finally preparing to switch everything off, I realised I’d forgotten to push the bypass tray back into the printer first…

Cue a slightly stressy end to an already very long day 😂.

Thankfully, the printer survived - and so did we.

Just one final day of preparations to go before Nailtopia!

Once all the cards have been popped, sorted and checked, it’s time to turn them into finished Original Games.

Each game needs to be wrapped in its printed paper band, ready to be packed up and brought with us to Nailtopia tomorrow.

That’s Day Four officially signed off - but somehow, we’re still not at the end of this production marathon 😂.

We’ll be back tomorrow morning with Days Five and Six: the final preparations before we load everything up and head to the tradeshow!

The cards are out of their sheets - now we need to organise them into complete Original Games and make sure every game contains everything it should.

Every single Manicure Roulette® Original Game contains 99 cards, all designed, printed, laminated, cut and collated by Mum and me here in Sheffield.

Which makes preparing multiple games for an event a very calm and relaxing activity, obviously 😂

One more part of Day Four is coming - next job: getting them banded and ready for Nailtopia!

Day Four begins with popping out lots and lots of cards for our Original Games.

After being printed, laminated and cut, every individual card still needs to be popped from its sheet before we can start turning all those piles into complete games.

It’s an extremely satisfying job… until you remember just how many games you’ve decided to make 😂

MAKING STOCK FOR NAILTOPIA: DAY THREE, PART ONE ✨

Day Three of Nailtopia production - and today we’re starting with even more packaging.

We’re cutting packaging for the stock we’re taking on Sunday, alongside the orders that still need to be manufactured and sent out.

Then it’s time to set up the laminator with matte laminate, ready to start foiling everything using the toner-foil method.

Essentially, the foil reacts with the printed toner as it passes through the laminator, allowing us to add all those shiny little details to the finished packaging✨.

Lots of machines, multiple stages and absolutely no shortage of things left to make 😂

Finishing Day Two by cutting more of our brand-new Nail Formula cards - followed by a completely sensible midnight editing session so you can all watch us making them. 😂

Making the stock, filming the content and then editing the content about making the stock. Very efficient. Definitely not exhausting.

That’s Day Two complete - but we’re not finished yet.

Tomorrow we’ll be popping out, sorting and counting the final cards, choosing what we need for our stand and packing everything ready for Sunday.

A wholesome mother-and-daughter business, preparing stock for a lovely nail event together…

Until nobody can find the yellow storage box for the yellow inks.

Then it becomes a domestic. 😂

Between accusations, searching and further vellum printing, Nailtopia production continued.

Just one more part of Day Two to go - then we can see how much stock we actually managed to finish.

We’ve printed the cards. We’ve started the packaging. Now we’re moving on to the finishing touches for our Original Games.

Each Original Game is finished with its printed paper band and vellum - which means, you guessed it, even more printing. 😂

Every part is designed, printed, finished and packed by Mum and me here in Sheffield, ready to travel a about 15 minutes down the road to Nailtopia this Sunday.
