Yesterday was a really difficult day for my small business. I had a large last-minute cancellation in the morning followed by a no-show, resulting in a loss of over £100.

As someone who is self-employed and a single parent, this has a significant impact. I genuinely love what I do and appreciate every single one of my clients. I always do my best to be flexible, whether that means staying late or coming in on my days off to fit appointments around your schedules.

Unfortunately, cancellations and no-shows like this make it impossible for me to recover lost income at such short notice.

After giving it a lot of thought, I have made the difficult decision that, from now on, all appointments will require a 50% booking deposit.

Your deposit will:
• Secure your appointment.
• Be deducted from your final bill when you attend your appointment.
• Be transferred to your next appointment if you need to rearrange with at least 48 hours' notice.
• Be forfeited if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice or fail to attend your appointment.

This isn't a decision I've taken lightly, but it's necessary to help protect my business and ensure I can continue providing the best service to all of my wonderful clients.
