After watching the online training which was in collaboration with Louisa Webb I thought I would share my own wound healing journey .

I was already aware of the benefits of LED therapy in wound healing after reading research papers but I have been blown away with my own result .

I 100% feel that my own scar wouldn’t have healed or looked as good as it does if I hadn’t of used my Dermalux LED everyday . From day 7 I used red light to encourage collagen and near infared (NIR) to reduce inflammation & blue light to prevent infection .

Did you know that the skin goes through different stages of wound healing ? I know this from my old district nursing days .

Phase 1 - 0-3 days - inflammation and control

Phase 2 - 4-14 - Proliferation and tissue building

Phase 3- 14+ - Remodelling and strengthening- sometimes can take up to a year for this.

I can offer my LED machine as a stand alone treatment to help improve acne , rosacea , and aging skin.

Home LED masks can be of benefit but you have to ensure that the protons will pe*****te the correct layer of skin. I can provide this information if required. With home LED masks you have to be consistent & use them for a longer time compared to clinic LED devices .

All in all a very informative session , I always say everyday is a school day ❤️

** How lucky am I to own the flex **

I’m 1 week now post op & couldn’t wait to get my hands on it . My scar has been feeling really tight & pulling I had dissolvable sutures which are healing really well, but the constant icing is helping but felt I needed to take it to a cellular level of healing .

If anyone comes to me for needling you would recognise this LED , I upgraded in November last year after reading reviews & research around the LED in particular wound healing .

My aim is to go under it daily for 30 mins to help reduce swelling , and encourage wound healing . I will use the red, blue & Near Infared light (NIR)

And that my dears is a wrap ! Wish I was saying I was going on a long haul holiday for a month but my holiday is going to be my garden for the next month or so.

It’s been a longggg time coming this surgery tomorrow, it’s been a struggle the past few weeks to ‘show up’ cos not only has it affected my physical health but if I’m honest I’ve had a real battle with my mental health- there have been days when I’ve just wanted to roll over and stay in bed , almost become anti social ( which isn’t me ) but I’m here and I’ve managed to push through . Parts of me feels angry that I have to go through the process of surgery again from something that wasn’t my wrong doing , or any work that I’ve undone - but I guess it’s been a show of the character who I really am - strong , resilient and stubborn.

I’m feeling stronger than I was 12 months ago thanks to who has really helped me immensely with PT focusing on my glutes , quads , hamstrings all that support my knee ❤️

Big thanks to my family & my Evo who has had to put up with my constant whining , crying , moaning haha . I’ve got my bell ready !

Today I watched a webinar presented by refreshing my knowledge on my MC88 Skin analysis machine.

I really don’t advertise this enough but it’s a great tool for me & you to see exactly what is going on with your skin at a cellular level . It can be used for me to guide you into what skin treatments , skincare , injectables which may help you.

It can tell us the age of your skin , sun damage , sensitivity, predict your skin aging . It is all singing all dancing .

So on Wednesday I watched a webinar presented by . I recently purchased a Dermalux flex in November for clinic & the results since using it are phenomenal. I always offer LED after Microneedling to calm the skin , trauma of needling is good you want that erythema but too much trauma can be damaging for the skin and not stimulating collagen 1 & 3 .

The slide showing healing of a wound , imagine how money could be saved for the nhs using this intervention.

LED can also help with bruising on the NIR ( near infared light ).

I am actually going to manifest that I will have a compact lite one day as I believe in LED so much for skin conditions, following treatments & post op care too .

As ever always trying to keep myself up to date with data , knowledge and skills .

Hey Everyone not posted on the grid for a while so thought I’d do a little post ❤️

I’ve had this week off to get my new floor fitted at Ragan house , but instead of working in the business I’ve been working on the business behind the scenes .

I’ve almost completed 6 months in fully self employed role in biz can’t believe how quickly it’s flown !

This week I have updated my templates on my software and also looked closer at my diary bookings .

What I’ve realised is multiple late nights are creeping in again , back to back clients , not scheduling a break never mind a wee break 🤪

So I’d just like to remind people of my working hours and I’m putting it here for me to make sure I stick to my boundaries . I’ve realised this from 9 years in the biz .

I try and not go on my phone lots but sometimes it just creeps back in ! .
So here’s a little gentle reminder….

Mondays - CLOSED

Tuesdays - 1-5pm

Wednesday - 11-7pm ( only late night )

Thursday - 9-5pm

Friday - 9-5pm

Saturday 9-2pm ( only 2 a month )

Late nights & Saturdays do get booked up pretty quick so please ensure you have booked in plenty of time.

Messages - I will try and answer the same day but sometimes depending on time of text I will respond the next day unless it’s a real emergency.
