Vikki and Layla who care about doing things properly. They lead our training with real experience, high standards and a focus on building confidence as well as skill. This is where the next generation of stylists learn how to do it right 🩶

A rich medium brown using 4.0, finished with a smooth blowdry and soft curls for that natural shine. Solid work.

Brooke’s client went for a deep burgundy through the lengths, keeping that soft, natural movement but adding a tone that shifts depending on the light. You get that red brunette depth indoors, then it lifts slightly when it catches natural light which is where it really comes through.

The waves she added just finish it off properly, showing the shine and the colour running all the way through!

Base is exactly where it starts.

Practicing cutting skills on real clients, taking your time, learning how the hair moves, where to take weight out and how to shape it so it actually sits right. It’s not a rushed process, it’s not guesswork. It’s practice with lots of guidance to get your confidence up.

At Base, our job has never just been to teach hairdressing. It's to give aspiring stylists the confidence, skills and support to build a successful career in the industry.

Lily and Jaz both began their journeys with us as apprentices, learning their craft in our academy environment, working alongside our educators and growing in confidence with every client.

Now, they're taking the next step and joining the team at Jakata Salon as Graduate Stylists and we couldn't be prouder.

Wow what a transformation.

From grown out, uneven blonde to a clean, bright finish that looks intentional again.

Done by Kam, he did a half head foils to lift and refresh, toner to soften and refine and then finished with a smooth blowdry that shows off all the detail!

You only really ever see the finished part.

What you don’t always see is an apprentice like Emily working her way through it, figuring out the placements and getting more confident with each section or client.

Then theres the little moments where someone like Jimmy steps in to check or guide and that’s how it all comes together, that’s Base.
