As a dementia-friendly hairdresser, I know how important it is for clients to feel comfortable, calm, and safe in familiar surroundings.
For many, visiting a busy salon can feel overwhelming or confusing. Being able to receive hairdressing services at home can help reduce anxiety while still enjoying the confidence boost and wellbeing that comes from feeling pampered and cared for.
A haircut is never just a haircut — it’s companionship, routine, dignity, and connection too.
Let’s continue to support and understand those living with dementia and their families, not only during Dementia Action Week, but every single day 💙
