The day consisted of theory in the morning followed by a tutor demo, & model number 1. After lunch we had 2 more models and my student got opportunity to work on different brow shapes and skin types adapting to each like a pro. She achieved some amazing results and I’m excited to see her journey 😍

Today we were teaching ultrasound cavitation and radiofrequency skin tightening to

Alex trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage with myself a few weeks ago and decided to add on body contouring to enhance her client’s results.

The day consisted of theory 9am-11am where we went over the fundamentals of the machine, technique, anatomy and physiology, health and safety etc. then straight into our first model, a quick lunch then 3 more models in the afternoon. She absolutely smashed a back to back day and I’m so proud of her. Well done Alex 🙌🏻❤️

Long before The Radiance Retreat I actually went to uni to study Law. I had my first child at 19 took a break from studying then went back to uni to study Business. I became pregnant with my second child during my second year of my business degree. Loads told me to defer the last year etc. but I’m too stubborn for that 🙈 I plodded on was attending lectures and seminars at 9 months pregnant. I graduated and then went back to uni to do my teaching degree. For 13 years I taught business studies in a further education college.

In 2021, I felt like something was missing, I’d always had an interest in beauty so decided to pursue it and went back to college to do my level 2 in beauty. Life took an unfortunate turn and my dad passed away at the age of 55 a month after starting the course. My whole world was turned upside down. I decided life was too short at this point and took the plunge to leave my teaching career and pursue my beauty career. I have never looked back, since then I’ve gone back to college to do my level 3 and various CPD courses. The Radiance Retreat has grown from being a little side job to being a full time career and we’ve now just launched our training courses.

All this whilst being Mum and wife, juggling everyday life. The salon has given me freedom to be around more for my kids and I have never looked back.

My client has naturally thin brows so we opted for precision mapping and a hybrid stain to stain the skin and give the illusion of fuller brows 🫧🪄✨

Hybrid stains tint the hair and the skin and are perfect to fill out any sparse sections of the brow. I like mine dark and ‘blocky’ but they can be done much softer and more ombré too.
