Because great aesthetics isnât about looking the part on social media. Itâs about safety, professionalism and putting your clients first...
Loose hair can fall into your clinical field and increase the risk of contamination. It might look good for content, but hair should always be tied back during treatments.
This one always gets people talking! Being bare below the elbows allows proper hand and forearm hygiene and reduces the risk of contamination during treatment.
My absolute bug bear in this industry. Itâs common sense, you are breaking the skin and handling the device, wrap your device or you are potentially spreading bloodbourne pathogens everywhere!
Call me old fashioned but⌠a professional uniform isnât just about appearance. It helps maintain hygiene, protects your clothing and reassures clients theyâre in a clinical environment.
Probably my most controversial one! We are in the industry and promoting good healthy skin. Iâm proud of my skin, itâs my work, Iâm not going to cover my work, is it perfect? No but skin isnât perfect.
It also comes down to professional standards, keep the full face for your nights out.
What would you add to the list?

Today didnât quite go to plan⌠đЎ
Today was our clinic and content day with Lydia, with some of our previous students joining us to observe how we run our clinic days. We also had Lydiaâs daughter with us, spending part of her school holidays learning more about the industry she hopes to join one day.
Sometimes, though, real life reminds us why training and preparation matter just as much as the treatments themselves.
This morning, we had a client who unexpectedly became unwell during treatment. Thankfully, she made a full recovery, but our priority immediately became her wellbeing. Lydia stayed calm, followed the correct procedures, monitored her throughout, and made sure she was safe. As a result, we made the decision to cancel the rest of the afternoonâs clinic so that our focus could remain exactly where it needed to be and so Lydia could take her home.
Moments like this are a reminder that aesthetics isnât just about learning treatments. Itâs about knowing how to respond when something unexpected happens, putting client safety first, and remaining calm under pressure.
Every member of our team is first aid trained, and emergency procedures form an important part of the education we provide. We hope our students took away one of the most valuable lessons of all today â that great practitioners are defined not only by their treatment results, but by the care they give when things donât go as planned.
Client safety will always come first. â¤ď¸
Please donât worry if you missed out today, if Lydia wasnât able to reschedule your appointment I will put another discounted content day on when Iâm back from my break.
Massive thank you to Lydia and Amelia for being such professionals Lydia

What a day Lydia has lined up today! đ¤
Today is our Content & Clinic Day, packed with live treatments, behind-the-scenes content, and plenty of learning along the way.
Weâve also invited some of our past students back to spend the day with us, watch how we run a real clinic day, ask questions, refresh their knowledge, and continue building their confidence.
Ongoing support doesnât stop when your course finishes, thatâs what being part of The Collective Aesthetics Academy is all about. đ¤
Stay tuned to see all the behind the scenes today đđź

Jumping on this trend but on a serious note these are all things that clients have said to me in the pastâŚ.
The amount of clients who arrive and say they have never filled in paperwork before, had the risks explained to them and what to do in the case of an emergency is shocking!
Iâve also had clients tell me they have done their own treatments after watching a tik tok, the worst being PRP!
I also had a client tell me she wanted to show me where to injectâŚ. That relationship didnât work out funnily enough đ
And my number one pet hate, I didnât like my last injector or the last girl bruised me, it didnât last long enough⌠thatâs fine if you have something we can try different but some people are never happy and as much as clients get to chose their injector I also get to choose my clients. If I donât think you will follow aftercare, you donât have realistic expectations or I think your going to add me to your long list of practitioners you donât like weâre probably not a good fit đ
