11 years ago, we started Athena in a small unit with a goal of becoming the largest supplier of work surfaces to house builders in the UK. At Athena Surfaces, we’re committed to making a difference in our community, which is why we’re thrilled to support Acorns Children's Hospice, a charity providing specialist palliative care for life-limited and life-threatened children and their families across the West Midlands.

To contribute, we’ve set up a tuck shop in our office kitchen, where every sweet treat or snack purchased directly supports Acorns’ vital work. In 2023/24, Acorns cared for over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, relying on donations for two-thirds of its £13 million annual costs.
