Feel confident in your clothes every day!
01/06/2026
Hello June!
Lighter mornings, longer evenings
Garden parties, weddings, holidays, lunch with friends and finding ourselves reaching for brighter colours, lighter fabrics and our fave sunnies
It’s also the perfect time for a little wardrobe refresh
I’ve done mine and quite a few cliemts too
Not a complete overhaul, a little zhuzh
Because style isn’t about having more, it’s about knowing what works for you
And what doesn’t!
This month, I’ll be sharing summer style inspo, colour tips, makeup faves and plenty of ideas to help you look and feel your best all summer
I get it
I really do
I’ve seen the ads and the prices
I’ve also seen the investigation that includes concerns around:
• Sale of illegal products
• Content that could constitute child sexual abuse material
• Reward systems designed to drive engagement
• Addictive app and platform design
• Lack of transparency around recommendation algorithms
I completely understand why people shop there. Budgets are real. Convenience is real. Dopamine scrolling at 3am when you can’t sleep is real
But I do think we need to start asking bigger questions about what we’re buying into, not just what we’re buying
Fast fashion has moved way beyond “cheap clothes”. We’re now talking about psychology, behavioural design, overconsumption, ethics, environmental impact and how algorithms shape our spending habits and self-image
One of the things I see constantly in my work is wardrobes full of clothes people don’t actually wear, often bought in moments of boredom, stress, low mood or identity confusion. The problem usually isn’t “I need more clothes”. It’s a disconnection from self
I want your style to support you, and part of that is buying consciously
What do you think?

You know that moment in The Devil Wears Prada where cerulean isn’t just… blue?
Well, that’s true of all the colours!
To celebrate the release of DVP2, I’m opening my studio doors 10-12pm for a relaxed morning where you can come in, try cosmetics, ask questions, and have some great conversations.

Compliments, those kind words and gestures of appreciation, are like little drops of positivity that can brighten our day. However, for lots of us, accepting compliments gracefully can be surprisingly challenging.
So here are a few tips:
Say "Thank You": It may seem simple, but the most effective way to accept a compliment is to respond with a sincere "thank you." You don't need to say any more!
Smile and Keep Eye Contact: When receiving a compliment, a warm smile and maintaining eye contact go a long way.
Avoid Self-Deprecation: One common mistake people make when receiving compliments is downplaying their achievements or deflecting praise. Instead of saying, "Oh, this old thing," or "It was really cheap," try to accept the compliment with confidence.
Pay it Forward: Just as you enjoy receiving compliments, remember to spread kindness by offering compliments to others. It's wonderful to be part of brightening someone else's day.
Practice Gratitude: Being grateful for the compliments you receive can lead to a more positive mindset. Compliments are gifts.
Learn from Compliments: Sometimes, compliments can offer valuable insights into your style. Use them as a chance to learn more.
So, the next time someone pays you a compliment, embrace it with a genuine "thank you," a warm smile, and a heart full of gratitude. It's a small act that can have a big impact on your self-esteem and the way you connect with others.

It’s never just about the clothes or the make-up. It’s about how confident you feel in them.
Your wardrobe should work for your life, whether you’re running the show in the boardroom, dashing to the school gates or heading out for a night with friends. But it’s easy to second-guess what really suits you.
True style isn’t about chasing trends or reinventing yourself every season. It’s about knowing how to showcase your natural features and building a wardrobe that feels as good as it looks. One that reflects exactly who you are.
That’s what a House of Colour session is all about. Swapping style stress for clarity and giving you expert guidance that lasts long after our time together.
