Most people think itās a shampoo problem and then try another when it doesnāt work, MAYBE you just need to moisturise your scalp.
Itās that simole.
Weāve spent years caring for our hair ā while largely ignoring the skin it grows from.
That is beginning to change.
The scalp is living skin. Like the skin on your face, it can become dry, dehydrated, oily, sensitive or uncomfortable. Product build-up, frequent washing, colour services, heat, seasonal changes and everyday life can all affect how the scalp feels.
Yet most traditional haircare routines focus almost entirely on the hair we can see.
Scalp care looks beneath that.
A scalp-first routine is about keeping the scalp clean, hydrated, comfortable and balanced ā creating a better environment for healthy-looking hair. It isnāt about promising overnight hair growth or offering another quick fix. Itās about caring consistently for an area of skin that has been overlooked for far too long.
After 36 years as a hairdresser, Iāve seen how often people struggle with dryness, itching, oiliness and general scalp discomfort without knowing what to use between washes.
That is why I created Scalp Zero: a lightweight daily scalp serum designed to hydrate and comfort the scalp without leaving the hair feeling greasy or weighed down.
Because the future of haircare doesnāt begin with the ends.
It begins at the scalp.
Scalp first ā hair follows.
