EXECUTIVES’ MEETING WITH THE NEWLY POSTED STAFF
Earlier today, the Municipal Health Directorate held a meeting with newly posted staff at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital Conference Room. The meeting was organized to officially welcome the newly posted staff to the municipality and introduce them to the various opportunities and support systems available to them.
The GRNMA Local Executives, represented by the Municipal Chairman, Mr. Dari Dapilla Pascal, and the Municipal Treasurer, Miss Joyce Napuna, were invited to interact with and welcome the new staff.
Mr. Dari Pascal took the opportunity to educate the newly posted staff on the importance of joining the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) and the numerous benefits members enjoy. He highlighted the support and opportunities available to members and encouraged the new staff to become active members of the Association.
He further introduced the GRNMA flexible loan, established in partnership with ADB specifically for newly posted staff. He encouraged them to take advantage of this initiative to support their financial needs as they begin their professional journey in the municipality.
The Chairman also introduced the newly posted staff to the GRNMA Mall, explaining some of the services and benefits available through the platform. Another key area of discussion was the legal representation benefit provided by the Association, particularly for members who may require professional legal support in the course of their duties.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Pascal encouraged the newly posted staff to familiarize themselves with and strictly adhere to the ethical principles, professional standards, and code of conduct governing the nursing and midwifery professions. He emphasized that adherence to professional ethics is essential in preventing avoidable disciplinary and legal issues and in maintaining the dignity and integrity of the profession.
The meeting ended with a call on all newly posted staff to join and actively participate in the Association, make good use of the benefits and opportunities available to members, and uphold the dignity, integrity, and professionalism of the nursing and midwifery professions.
