Throwback to this precious maternity shoot I had in Spain when I had Kitty brewing up a storm in me 💫

Our whole world shifted for the best in the middle of a pandemic and from there I learned the true testament of strength, patience, love and resilience. The balance, the commitment to pushing through sleepless and restless, the strength managing a home, children, work and self through a whole pandemic!!!

At this point, we were living in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain and I pivoted from a whole beauty world to baking sweet treats for the military communities making crazy motion whipping out thousands of strawberries and mini Dollycakes! This pregnancy took me out I mean swollen in all directions but every step has always been worth it and I’m so blessed to have the sweetest little loves I’ve ever known teaching me, nourishing me, and fulfilling my soul in ways only God has designed.

Cheers to all the mamas, stepmamas, grandmamas, baby mamas, Daddy’s in place of mamas doing the thing!!!! The ones selflessly putting their children first, attentive to their needs, foreseeing life’s struggles and making a way to ease the pain, and considering all the needs of your child before anyone else.

We see you, honor and appreciate you 💖

Repost because I need to get this off my chest & added more fulfilling photos over the last weekend… Over 60 years fighting and defending this very land we call our own. Litekyan…. Ritidian…. Every childhood memory running around as innocent children on this very sand, the cold muddy jungles, the whispers of the leaves and the roaring waves that always kept us safe and sound. The smells of frying bunelos aga and salivating over Uncles BBQ and fresh catches of octopus, lobster and fish of every color from our cousins….. The nostalgic Chamorru cha cha music on the radio from the trucks, to the burning mosquito bites that ate us alive after a fresh dip in this magnificent sea. The cold tender & cloudy sand under our toes wallowing feet deep from jacuzzis our cousins would dig or we would hid underneath with the dukduks.

It pains me to believe the motives & plans forced beyond us have in mind never knowing, never feeling what it felt like to be from the places your great grandparents, your grandparents and your parents were raised on… Nana would make soap from fresh water, salt from the sea… Tata bulldozed the road leading down to Ritidian with my Father on his lap. Ancient medicine all throughout these jungles, the precious lumot my Aunties would carve for our novenas every year. These stories connect us to a world we never lived & the honor to share this with my children and my nieces and nephews burns me to my core knowing what’s to come.

But the Walk for Water, an annual walk for the defense and protection over this sacred land filled my heart with comfort and so much joy knowing we aren’t in this fight alone! We are so much stronger together & it’s a blessing to have magahaga defenders like my sissy leading these life changing initiatives and movements to bring awareness for protection of ALL OUR LANDS, ALL OUR WATERS!!!!!!

We love you all and we’re so grateful for the solidarity and unity with our community on Guam. Until next time 💫 The marathon continues.
