Leaving Las Vegas. I was hoping for a quiet dinner with (Jonathan Scott -property brothers) at Carbone and over the spicy vodka rigatoni he would reassure me that it’s totally normal to lean a picture against the wall 6 months after it fell off the wall. But alas ...this vegas trip did not result in me meeting Jonathan. Maybe next trip. And the journey begins with . We (and I mean I) may discuss , spend time together watching card tricks, and laugh together until either we can’t breathe or until someone pulls a quarter out of my ear, but make no mistake about it...when we are all business we will be unstoppable in 2020. Mimi Choi Makeup Artistry Mimi Choi will be with me in Vegas at Unfiltered Experience and I would like to clarify a few things because I will be standing right next to her for many hours (1) I’m good at designing cosmetics, not wearing them (2) if you like my make up it means I didn’t do it and probably Dyamond McMillan did and made me wear a bold lipstick (3) no one’s hair can look good next to Mimi...NO ONE (Jen Atkin call me) and (4) I’m good at math. Get creative when looking for the right business model. Running your own company is hard work with MANY thankless tasks that require your immediate attention....most of which have nothing to do with the fun side of your concept.
It's so important to love your business. This guy found a way to nationally scale a a beer brewing company by combining it with saving dogs.
Think outside the box.
10th Studio will help you manufacture a consumer good to monetize your brand, or your social media influence, but remember it's just one tool of many. First, you have to figure out what 'job' makes you jump out of bed, and then figure out a way to monetize that 'job'. Selling branded consumer goods may just be the start. Get creative and figure it out.
10th Studio will be announcing some workshops across the US in 2019 to learn exactly how to do this.
This is good advice! You have to reach out to 50-100 companies and ask for an opportunity. We meet so many entrepreneurs and they're not working daily on their own personal brand, or their product. Success comes from the discipline to get in front of opportunities.
