Some words outlive their time because they speak to something universal.

This thought by Dostoevsky became part of the world surrounding Frozen Moscow — a fragrance shaped not only by a place, but by the stories, memories and human experiences connected to it.

Moscow is more than a backdrop to its story. Its literature, its contrasts, its severity and depth all belong to the atmosphere that Frozen Moscow seeks to capture.

Oud begins with the Aquilaria tree.

When the tree is wounded or exposed to certain forms of stress, it responds by producing a dark, aromatic resin within its wood — a natural defence that, over time, transforms the pale wood into the deeply fragrant material known as agarwood.

It is this rare transformation that gives oud its unmistakable depth and complexity.

In Frozen Moscow, oud becomes part of a darker story. Its rich, woody character meets the intensity of leather, creating depth beneath the fragrance’s colder, sharper opening.

Frozen Moscow was inspired by the Moscow travels of a dear friend of Gergő Kőmezei — an experience shaped by the city, its atmosphere and the memories brought home from it.

Bold, masculine and full of character, the fragrance opens with the vibrant heat of ginger, black pepper and saffron, creating a striking contrast with the colder world that inspired it.

At its heart, leather and oud unfold, bringing depth, intensity and a dark, distinctive character to the composition. As the fragrance settles, musk, ambroxan and vetiver form a rich and lasting base.

It is here that the inspiration behind our newest creation takes shape. A personal story, rooted in the experiences of someone close to our perfumer, Gergely Kőmezei, and reimagined through his own olfactory language.

Created by Gergely Kőmezei, perfumer of Aura Budapest, this new fragrance is deeply personal. Its inspiration comes from the experiences of someone close to him — a story translated into scent through atmosphere, emotion and memory.

Created for the colder days, it carries a bold and distinctive character. Intense, uncompromising, and made to leave a lasting presence.
