You have your face routine 👌 but unsure
about how to look after your neck?

I hear this all the time and there is so much we can do to improve the appearance of skin laxity, horizontal and vertical lines on the neck.

First up skincare: you should extend your products onto your neck. At a minimum apply your sunscreen to all parts of your neck to protect it from sun damage and premature ageing. UV radiation is one of the biggest causes of collagen destruction and this in turn will lead to laxity.

There are dedicated retinol products for use on the neck and décolleté. These are lower strength than what you may use on your face and this is important because the skin on your neck is thin and less able to tolerate stronger concentrations. Using a retinol on your neck and décolleté is great for fading sun spots and minimizing fine lines.

My favourite treatment: The SKIN PEN PRECISION for wrinkles and BIOTEC LIFT & SCULPT. There’s a thin sheet of muscle called the platysma extending from your clavicle (collarbone) up to your lower face. If you pull an exaggerated & face you will see the bands of this muscle flex in your neck. These bands are very powerful and become obvious as we get older. They also have a role in drawing the lower face downward. Using MICROCURENT to relax this muscle will soften the neck bands and also rejuvenate the lower face.

For skin laxity in the neck a combination of BIOTEC Treatments or Traditional MICRONEEDLING plus a boost of hyaluronic acid using PROFHILO has a huge impact and is a great approach to restore a youthful appearance to the neck.

What about necklace or horizontal lines? These are every common and to some extent need to be tolerated however deeper lines can be softened with a SKIN PEN PRECISION or a soft DERMAL FILER.
