🚨 Why I always recommend NO leggings after your spray tan! 🚨

This photo is the perfect example of why loose, dark clothing is so important during your developing time.

My client originally arrived wearing leggings. We cut them into shorts after applying her tan, but within seconds she pulled them up slightly higher. The result? Just look at the clear line across her thighs 👀

That lighter section shows where the leggings absorbed and disrupted the guide colour almost immediately. This happened after only a couple of seconds of contact!

Remember, your spray tan needs time to develop evenly. Tight clothing such as leggings, gym wear, skinny jeans, and shapewear can:
✨ Absorb the guide colour
✨ Create pressure marks and tan lines
✨ Cause patchiness
✨ Leave your legs lighter than the rest of your body
✨ Affect your final result, especially if you’re planning to wear a dress or shorts the next day

My advice? ✔️

After your spray tan, wear:
🤎 Loose dark pyjamas
🤎 Loose joggers
🤎 Anything that won’t rub or cling to the skin

The less friction and pressure on your skin, the more even and flawless your tan will develop.

Spray tanning over recently sunburnt skin is a recipe for disaster 😅☀️

With the amazing weather we’ve been having, I just want to remind all my spray tan clients over the next few weeks to please wear your SPF and protect your skin.

When your skin is sunburnt, damaged, dehydrated or peeling, the top layer of skin is affected — and that’s the exact layer we spray tan onto. This can cause your tan to develop patchy, uneven, fade quickly, and overall not give you the gorgeous results you’re looking for.

At The Bohemianrooms, I always want to give you the highest quality spray tan possible, and healthy skin is key to achieving that flawless glow ✨

So lads and ladies, please wear your SPF!
