How to shop for perfume?
Know your families: woody, fourmand, fresh, heavy leathers or spicy , ambers, etc ..
Limit your tests: smell a maximum of 3 or 4 perfumes per trio and allow your nose to reset.
Paper lies, skin tells the truth: use the paper blotters to narrow down your choices but, always test the final contenders on your skin.
Wait out for the dry-down: never buy a perfume based on the initial sniff.
Sample before committing: whenever posd8ble always go for samples prior to committing to a full size.
