Today we are celebrating 7 years in business!!! 🎉 I want to take this time to thank every single client who has entered the doors of nova beauty over the last 7 years. ✨As majority of you know I have been out of the salon for the last few months. I have missed the laughs and all of ye lovely people. I want to thank Kellie, Irene, Aine and Kelsey for keeping ye all beautiful.🤩 I cannot wait to be back in the salon soon. Lots of love, Katie 💕

2016 Trend! The Beauty edition. 🤪

2016 was a BOLD year full of sharp stiletto nails, bold carved out eyebrows, clumpy mascara (yes intentional😂) and heavy lash extensions.

💄 We were all going mad for a n**e matte lipstick (Kylie Jenner was taking over) and metallic was trending. Rose gold metallic eyeshadow and metallic nail art was a staple in 2016. Heavy carved out brows and “cut crease” eyeshadow haunted every make up artists dreams.🤪

💅2016 was a huge year for nails as Instagram was growing in popularity, and people started posting their manicures online. Sharp stiletto nails with shiny nail art and lots of glitter. Ombré nails were also a big trend of 2016.

☀️Tanning was HUGE in 2016. We all wanted a bronzed luminous glow. Bronzers, hi-lighters and illuminators helped give us that silky bronzed glow. As beauty therapists we were poisoned from spray tans in 2016 😂. At home tanning was very popular and the use rapid tans and gradual tans soared. (Who doesn’t love a bit of dove gradual tan? 🫶).

In 2026 we are focusing on natural trends.
👁️ Lash lifts have taken over from lash extensions.
Brows are more fluffy and natural, brow lamination can help achieve this effect.
☀️ Tanning is always popular but with our spray tans you can look naturally bronzed and beautiful.
We loved looking back over the trends of 2016.
