Please help our fave charity, Cork Animal Care Society by donating. I will also be collection over the next few weeks again...so any clients wanting to donate some food (they mostly have cats) please pop it into us and I can drive it all out to them.

This is a much needed animal charity in cork with all the rescues being full.....help them look after animals that other humans decided they weren't responsible for. xx

EMERGENCY APPEAL.

This is an emergency appeal. I am bitterly reluctant to write this but there is no choice.
You, our friends and supporters, are aware of my 9 month hospital stay. That 9 months destroyed our fundraising efforts.
Putting it very very simple: The shelves are bare. Even buying the cheapest possible cat food is now becoming out of reach.
The hidden costs in running a sanctuary are enormous, but they are hidden. Vet bills, Food, Electricity, Medicines, Litter and the list goes on.

The loss of our charity shop due to the Covid19 pandemic ended up breaking us. Couple that with the massive price increases that ALL of us have experienced over the last 3 years and the picture becomes grimmer by the month.
Anne and myself have made up the shortfalls, month in month out, but even that is now no longer enough. We have not talked about enclosure maintenance, a single role of torch-on felt is now 80 euro and that is given the best discounts obtainable.

Our 26 years in operation will be here in October, but as it stands while I write this, we will not get there.
Allow me to make a final point: Every single cent you have ever donated to us is used to keep this sanctuary running. Our accounts have NEVER been qualified and have been submitted to the authorities as required. Of that... WE ARE PROUD.

How to prepare for your next bright colour…especially if it involves bleach.
Here’s a few tips and a couple of essentials that you may not have thought of.

You must get a patch test 48hrs before your appointment and no we will not waive this under any exception.
Colour allergies and reactions are scary (sometimes more scary for your stylist than for you!) and they can be very dangerous. It’s not just a bit uncomfortable, it can lead to hospitalisation. It takes 1 minute, just get it done.

The healthier your hair is, the more we can do to it. Keep it healthy, don’t try anything yourself before the appointment, leave it up to us because we know what our products can do…..we don’t necessarily know what they will do when mixed with any kind of concoction you’ve used to try and strip your hair.

You can bring ideas or not. You can let us run free…or if you are wanting something specific, pictures are best (keeping in mind these will be for inspiration not as a copy paste on your head)
