Our members conducted a search operation in Ballyfermot on Wednesday as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

A home was searched and a G***k 17 handgun was seized along with ammunition, an estimated €25,000 in co***ne, €370 in cash and a number of electronic devices of evidential value.

An adult male in his late teens was arrested and has since been charged and appeared before Court.

Two adult males (aged in their teens) and one female (aged in her 30s) were also arrested. They have all since been released and files will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Investigations are ongoing.
