The pill doesnât fix your hormones. It switches them off.
Thatâs not a conspiracy, itâs the mechanism. Synthetic hormones tell your ovaries to stop working, then a doctor calls the silence âregulated.â
Meanwhile the actual inputs your endocrine system runs on havenât changed in 300,000 years: cholesterol, saturated fat, retinol, zinc, iodine, and morning light hitting your eyes before a screen does.
Ruminant fat is the raw material for every s*x hormone you make. Liver is the most nutrient-dense food on earth and most women havenât eaten it since childhood. Oysters give you more bioavailable zinc in three bites than a month of capsules. Raw dairy, egg yolks, honey, fruit: this is what a fertile human ate before we decided fat was the enemy and sunscreen was mandatory.
And hereâs the part nobody wants to say out loud. Your skin is an endocrine organ. It absorbs what you put on it. Most women are applying a cocktail of fragrance, aluminium and hormone-disrupting preservatives before 8am, then wondering why their cycle is chaos.
Thatâs why we make skincare from the same animals that feed you. Tallow is biologically identical to the fat in your skin. Your body knows exactly what to do with it, and nothing in the jar is fighting your hormones while you sleep.
Stop hiding from the sun. Stop fearing animal fat. Stop putting things on your body you wouldnât put in it.
Your hormones arenât broken. Theyâre starving.
Save this for the next time someone tells you the pill is the only option.
I almost didnât post this.
Not because of the soap. The soap is the best thing weâve made. Itâs because Iâve spent 3 years telling you weâd only launch something when it was actually ready, and saying âitâs readyâ out loud is a different kind of scary.
Hereâs what the video doesnât show you: the versions that didnât make it. Bars that lathered like a wet brick. Bars that smelled great for a week and then like a candle shop bin. A batch that was so soft it left half of itself in the dish. Every one of them went in the skip, and every time Renata asked me if we were being too picky.
We were. Thatâs the point.
If youâve been with us since the balm, you already know what it feels like when a product just works on your skin. This is that feeling, but for every shower, every hand wash, every morning. Itâs the most everyday product weâve ever made, which is exactly why it had to be right.
So this oneâs for the people who waited. Thank you for not letting me rush it.
Sweet Meadow, Mountain Spring, Pine Forest, or Unscented. Combo pack if you canât decide. Link in bio.

The crazy people were right.
Every few decades the experts admit they got something wrong. They never say it out loud. They just update the guidelines, change the packaging, and act like the old advice never existed. The people who ignored them the whole time get nothing. Not a thank you, not an apology, not even a mention.
Thatâs how it goes with everything ancestral. First itâs dangerous, then itâs a trend, then itâs obvious. Tallow, butter, sunlight, raw milk, real food. Same story every time.
We stopped waiting for the experts a long time ago. My wife and I made our first jar of tallow balm in a crockpot in our kitchen because our own skin was a mess and nothing in a pharmacy fixed it. We put beef fat on our faces while everyone around us laughed. Then we started selling it, and over a hundred thousand people laughed less.
Your skin doesnât care what the guidelines say this year. Itâs the same organ your great-grandmother had, and it wants the same things she gave it.
Grass-fed Irish tallow, raw honey, beeswax. Rendered by hand in Wexford.
Ahead of the curve by about ten thousand years.
Try a jar if you havenât already.

Men used to know what they were here for.
You worked with your hands. You fed your family from animals you could name. You knew the man who cut your meat and the woman who baked your bread. You spent more hours under the sky than under a screen. You had brothers, not followers. You got old next to the same woman you gave your life to.
None of that was a lifestyle. It was just life. Then we sold it off piece by piece for convenience, and now we pay therapists to help us figure out why we feel empty.
You are not depressed. You are domesticated.
Your body is still running the same software it ran ten thousand years ago. It expects sun, cold, effort, meat, tribe, and purpose. Give it a desk, a delivery app, and a feed of strangers, and it breaks. Then we call the breakage a disorder and medicate it.
You donât need a new routine. You need an old one.
Go outside. Eat the animal. Call your brother. Have the kids. Do the hard thing first. Everything your great-grandfather did by default, you now have to choose on purpose.
Choose it.

Nobody wants the boring answer.
People will spend hundreds a month on peptides, mushroom powders, cold plunges and a supplement drawer that looks like a pharmacy, and skip the two things that would actually move the needle: eating food that came from an animal, and being asleep before midnight.
Because simple feels like it canât be worth anything.
If the fix is free, it canât be the fix, right?
Thereâs no funnel, no 12 week protocol, no practitioner-only formula behind a login.
But your body isnât confused. Itâs undernourished and underslept, and itâs been that way for years.
You cannot supplement your way out of a diet built on things that were engineered in a lab to be eaten quickly and forgotten. You cannot biohack your way out of 4.5 hours of sleep and a phone in your face until 1am. Every single repair process youâre paying to optimise happens at night, for free, while youâre unconscious.
The bloating, the skin that wonât settle, the energy crash at 3pm, the mood that swings for no reason: most of it isnât a mystery illness. Itâs the accumulated cost of feeding yourself badly and sleeping less than you need to, repeated for a decade.
And yes, sometimes it is something real. Sometimes you need a doctor, a scan, an actual diagnosis. Thatâs the 1 in 100, and it deserves proper care.
But the other 99 times donât need a protocol. They need real food, actual sleep, and about six weeks of consistency before they decide it doesnât work.
Boring works. Thatâs why nobody sells it to you.
Everyone has a grandmother like mine.
The one who ate butter every day, worked in the sun without sunscreen, never set foot in a gym, never counted a calorie, and quietly outlived the people who did all three.
We have more health information than any generation in history and more chronic illness than any generation before us. That should stop us in our tracks, and mostly it doesnât.
She wasnât lucky. She had habits instead of information. Real food because that was the only food. Movement because life asked for it. Daylight because the work was outside. Rest because there was nothing to scroll. Health was the default, not a project she had to manage.
Then we replaced all of it with convenient versions and bought apps to handle the damage.
We built our company on the opposite instinct. Our balm has four ingredients: grass-fed Irish tallow, raw honey, olive oil and beeswax. Rendered by hand in our workshop in Wexford, the way her generation would have done it. Nothing she wouldnât recognise on sight.
She was right the whole time.

You can have flawless bloodwork and still be dying slowly.
Eat the liver. Get the morning sun. Lift heavy, sleep dark, drop the seed oils. All of it matters, and we are the last people who would say otherwise. But you can do every one of those things and still be quietly unwell if your life has no slowness in it and nobody in it.
Loneliness sits alongside smoking in the research on early death. Chronic stress raises cortisol, and cortisol thins your skin, wrecks your gut, and blunts the hormones that keep you feeling like yourself. Long evenings, laughter, being known by the person who sells you your meat: that is not a soft extra bolted onto real health. It is the signal your nervous system evolved to expect, and modern life has quietly removed most of it.
Your ancestors did not have a protocol. They had a village, work that ended when the light went, and bodies that were touched.
We make skincare, so we think about this a lot. Skin is an organ, downstream of everything: what you eat, how you sleep, how much sun you get, how loved you feel. The best tallow in the world will only get you so far on a face that belongs to someone stressed and rushing.
Love, laughter and slowness are not the reward for getting healthy. They are half of what health is.

Your kitchen is the most chemically aggressive room in your house and nobody told you.
Heat is the mechanism. Heat is what moves molecules out of a material and into whatever youâre about to eat. A pan sealed in synthetic polymer, a board getting scored a hundred times a week, water boiled inside a plastic reservoir. Every single thing you put in your body passes over those surfaces first.
But thatâs only half of why I care about this.
Pick up cast iron and you feel the weight of it in your wrist. Ceramic holds heat in your hands on a cold morning the way nothing synthetic ever will. Cotton that softens instead of pilling. Wood that gets darker and better every year instead of quietly degrading into your dinner.
Plastic gives you nothing back. Itâs light, itâs dead, it feels like absolutely nothing, and it was designed from the beginning to be thrown away. We filled our homes with disposable material and then wondered why none of it feels grounding to live inside.
Your great grandmother had no filtration system and no supplement cabinet. She had a kitchen built out of iron, wood, stone and clay, and food that came from an animal or the ground. That was the entire protocol.
You donât have to replace everything this week. Replace the pan you use every day. Then whatever you cut on. Then whatever your water sits in.
Real materials, real food. It was never complicated. It was just made to seem that way.
