Calling all brides, wedding guests, milestone birthdays....or anyone with an upcoming event ✨

If you want your skin looking its best, give yourself time.

6 months gives you time to get your skincare right, work on things that are actually bothering you and plan treatments around what your skin actually needs.

Save this if you've got an event coming up 🩷

Out of the treatment room and into some sequins ✨

We're told to stick to the "RULES", so here are some that I break😳

I'm not really against them, but it's one step I never prioritise.
I use all my products that are suitable around my eye area, onto the orbital bone and to the crows feet.

I also wear sunglasses ALL the time, so a lack of squinting & UV damage will help that delicate eye area

My evening products give my skin what it needs, so I don't automatically add a moisturiser unless it needs it.

Serum, retinol, pigment inhibitor cream.....I generally have enough in there to keep my skin hydrated and if it needs more nourishment, I'll add it.

One of the biggest reasons people have compromised skin barriers, inflammation, dehydration is due to over exfoliation. The skin is designed to naturally exfoliate/shed dead cells, when it's well hydrated.

And when I do exfoliate, I avoid scrubs. Scrubs tend to be too abrasive for a lot of peoples skin.

If I get a spot that comes to a head, I will deal with it accordingly 😅 and safely!

What I didn't do is keep picking and attacking my skin. It will make things worse and leave marking.

Cleanse - tone - moisturise, is a thing of the past!
If you are using an appropriate cleanser for your skin you won't need to "rebalance" the skin.

There are toners that are hydrating or that have actives, but they are steps that you can afford to drop.

I remember I used to slather my face with sudocrem when I was a teenager, thinking it was a great SOS for spots....so I'm not here to judge 😆

There are still so many people using it for this very reason, and it may make breakouts worse.

And one last thing…

Sudocrem is owned by Teva, an Is raeli pharmaceutical company.

So if you're personally choosing to boycott Is raeli-owned brands, that's another reason you may choose to leave this one on the shelf.

After the summer you may be noticing more pigmentation, dullness, dryness, more breakouts.... because the sun can play havoc with the skin.

Also, people fall out of their skin care routine and skin treatments over the summer months.

So as we head into cooler months, you may need to switch a product or 2, or plan some treatments for your skin concerns.

✨The 3 skin care fundamentals! BUT....... there's more to it.

✨The formulation, strength, how you’re using them and, most importantly, whether they’re actually suitable for your skin all matter.

✨Already doing the basics and still not seeing the results you want?

✨It could be the products you’re using, how you’re using them, or maybe your skin needs something a little more targeted.

✨That’s where I can help. 🤍

✨Book in for a skin consultation and we’ll work out what your skin actually needs.
