Before booking your next nail course, think about your last few appointments.
Which part took you the longest?
Where did you feel unsure about what you were doing?
Was there a step you kept repeating, hoping to get it right?
Those little things can tell you a lot about what you actually need to work on.
I often see nail techs looking for another technique to learn, when there are still parts of their everyday work they don’t feel comfortable with.
That’s something I always want to understand before planning a 1:1 training.
What are you already confident with? Where are you struggling? What would make the biggest difference to your next appointment?
Your answers help me decide what we should focus on during training.
If you could improve just ONE part of your nail appointments tomorrow, what would it be?

Still curing every single nail separately? That might be where you’re losing time. 👀
75 minutes. Old product removed, cuticles prepped, shape changed, hard gel applied and a hand-painted French. 🤍
One of my biggest time-savers is applying gel to 4 nails before curing, instead of working on each nail separately.
But here’s what matters.
I often choose hard gel for natural nails that need extra support. And choosing the right consistency means I can work on several nails without the product running into the cuticles.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t finding another course.
It’s being able to look at your own work and work out what actually needs fixing first.
It’s very easy to see beautiful nails online and think,
“I want to learn that.”
The harder question is:
Will this training solve the problem I’m struggling with right now?
Sometimes the next step isn’t the most exciting technique.
Sometimes it’s going back to something basic, asking for feedback, correcting the same mistake again and finally understanding why it keeps happening.
That decision can save you a lot more than the price of another course.
It can save months of frustration.

Some appointments stay in your head for years.
This was one of mine.
When you’re new, you can replay one conversation over and over after the client leaves.
Did I say something wrong?
Did she like my work?
Will she come back?
I used to take moments like this very personally.
I thought confidence would come once I became better at nails.
A lot of it actually came from situations like this one — awkward moments, mistakes and conversations I wish I had handled differently.
So if you’re still at the beginning and one appointment makes you question yourself, don’t let that one moment decide how good you are.
Learn from it.
Then handle the next one differently.

One thing I wish I understood much earlier?
Getting better at nails isn’t just about learning more techniques.
If you’re at the stage where you carefully follow every step, finish the set and still look at it thinking:
“Something doesn’t look right… but I don’t know what.”
That’s the part you need to start training too.
Your eye, not just your hands.
To look at a nail and notice:
this side needs more product,
this one is too bulky,
the apex is sitting too low,
the shape still needs correcting.
And that’s exactly what I want you to learn when you train with me.
I don’t want you to wait for me to point at every mistake.
I want you to look at your own work and start seeing it yourself — before your client leaves your table.
Once you can see it, you can fix it.

There was a time when I thought being responsible meant holding on to both.
My full-time job gave me security, and nails gave me this feeling that maybe I could build something of my own.
For quite a while, I tried to keep both worlds going at the same time.
Looking back, I think what drained me most was constantly splitting my energy between where I was… and where I actually wanted to go.
And that’s something I understand very differently now when I meet girls who are trying to build their nail career around another job.
Because I remember exactly how much energy that stage takes.
Sometimes you’re not lacking ambition.
You’re simply trying to build something important with very little space left for it.
Are you in that stage right now — working a job and doing nails around it?

Looking back at this version of me feels a little strange now.
I had no idea where nails would take me. I didn’t know if I would be good enough, if I would find clients or if I could ever turn it into something real.
And maybe that’s why today I understand beginners so well.
Because when a student tells me she feels nervous, unsure of herself or like everyone else already knows more than she does… I remember exactly what that felt like.
I didn’t start confident.
I became confident by learning, practising, making mistakes and simply staying with it.
So if you’re at the beginning now, I don’t expect you to have everything figured out.
I just want you to know that where you are now doesn’t have to be where you stay. 🤍
