Yes, they look darker and more defined immediately after the procedure and that’s completely normal. During the healing and peeling process, the pigment will soften and fade by around 30–40%, leaving a much softer, more natural result.
But honestly… even freshly done, look how beautiful the shape, definition and soft powder effect already look. 🥰

This client had her powder ombre brows done with me one year ago 🤍
As you can see, after a year the brows are still visible, but some areas have faded slightly. She decided it was time for a refresh to bring back the colour and definition

Brows after 6 weeks vs. immediately after the touch-up
The video on top shows the brows 6 weeks after the initial procedure, once they are fully healed.
As you can see, the left brow retained slightly less pigment than the right. This can occasionally happen, as each side of the face can respond differently during the healing process. Pigment retention can be affected by individual skin characteristics, regeneration, previous treatments, and the way each area heals.
This is exactly why the 6-week touch-up is such an important part of the process. It allows us to restore pigment where needed, perfect the shape, and create a more balanced and even result.
The video underneath shows the brows immediately after the touch-up. At this stage, the brows naturally appear darker and more defined. As they heal, the colour will soften and settle into the skin, resulting in a more natural finish.
