From years of built-up all-over semi-permanent colours, my client was left with a lot of unwanted red undertones that always seemed to resurface as the colour faded. She was ready for a change, so we completely switched things up!

We started by lightening the hair using a balayage technique to create soft, natural dimension. Then I applied a custom in-between toner to neutralise any remaining warmth and cancel out the stubborn red tones on the ends.

The result? A fresh, softer, more natural-looking colour with beautiful depth and a much cooler finish. ✨

Our goal was to create a brighter, cleaner blonde while keeping her natural colour beautifully blended throughout for a more seamless, low-maintenance finish.

To protect the integrity of her hair, we carefully added delicate babylights using a low-volume developer, followed by strategically placed lowlights to restore depth and dimension. This allows the blonde to stand out beautifully while creating a more natural, expensive-looking finish. Finally, we completed the transformation with a custom toner to refine, brighten, and neutralise any unwanted tones.

Healthy hair will always be our priority. Sometimes the best results don’t happen in one appointment, but with the right plan and a little patience, beautiful transformations are possible.

Hair transformation journey ✨

This client came to me after using box dye and wanted to return to blonde. Going from dark box colour back to blonde is a process that requires patience to protect the integrity of the hair.

Today was all about taking the first step—carefully lifting unwanted pigment while keeping the hair healthy and strong. We’re working towards her blonde goals gradually and safely, and I’m so happy with the progress we’ve made so far.
