If you choose the fastest and cheapest course just to get a certificate, you’ve probably already wasted your money.

I know a 4-hour course sounds tempting, but the truth is you cannot learn a completely new skill, technique, safety, product knowledge, and troubleshooting in just a few hours.

Do you charge LESS for BIAB refills? 👀

This may be controversial, but in my opinion soft gel products such as BIAB, rubber base and similar flexible bases should never actually be “refilled”.

Here’s why 👇
Soft gel overlays are designed to be flexible so they can move together with the natural nail. That’s exactly what makes them so comfortable to wear and ideal for natural nail overlays.

But because both the product and the natural nail are flexible, separation can begin underneath the product long before it becomes visible on the surface.

If you simply infill the regrowth and apply fresh product over the existing layer, there is a risk that you’re sealing in lifting or tiny air pockets that have already formed.
Once moisture becomes trapped in these areas, you create an environment where bacterial growth can occur.

For me, the safest and most professional approach is to completely remove the old product and apply a fresh overlay every appointment.

So should BIAB refills be cheaper?

Personally, I don’t think so.
If anything, the service could justify costing slightly more rather than less.

Some technicians charge separately for removal, while others include it within the service price. With an efficient removal technique, removing the previous product often takes no more than 5 minutes anyway.

I’d rather spend those extra few minutes protecting the health of my client’s natural nails than risk problems later.
