Your diary has a ceiling. Your retail doesn’t.
There are only so many hours in the day. Only so many clients you can fit on your bed. No matter how high your treatment prices go, there’s a limit to what your hands can earn.
Retail doesn’t work like that.
Liz McKeon grew retail to 70% of her turnover. Here’s the maths she shared:
A client on a proper home care regime spends €350–€500 every 12 weeks or so. That’s €1,500–€2,000 a year. Multiply that by 200 clients.
Now we’re motoring.
Her practical tip: open a separate bank account for retail. Move your retail takings into it weekly, pay your VAT and your retail orders from it, and what’s left is profit. No VAT shocks.

Liz’s view is simple. Take that business back. Many professional skincare brands now offer drop shipping, so you don’t even need to hold the stock to make the sale and keep your margin.
And here’s the part worth sitting with: according to Liz, clients who buy their home care from you are four times more likely to stay loyal to your clinic.
