Makeup Artists Wear More Than One Hat
People think being a makeup artist is just about applying makeup. The reality is so different.
As a makeup artist, I've found myself becoming a creative director, content creator, behind-the-scenes coordinator, and sometimes even a photographer. I've helped dress brides, pinned and adjusted outfits like an on-site tailor, fixed veils, calmed nerves, and solved last-minute emergencies—all while making sure my client's makeup stays flawless.
The truth is, makeup artists often do far more than what people see, yet our extra efforts don't always get the recognition they deserve.
