Valentine's Barber Shop

The time has come for us to close the doors of Valentines Barber Shop on Saturday, 16th March 2024 after 53 years in business.

I opened our doors in the summer of 1971 as an 18-year-old boy, little did I know back then, it would become my second home. With many fond memories, lots of laughs, and plenty of chats.

It has been difficult to make a decision to call time on what has been a very long and happy chapter in my life. I am both nervous and excited about the next chapter and the new challenges retirement will bring.

I would like to sincerely thank my hardworking and true friend Monica and our long-standing loyal customers.

The time has now come for me to take a step back, slow down and prioritise my health and enjoy retirement with my family and 3 wonderful grandchildren.

Tuam has been a wonderful place to establish a business and I am forever grateful to the wider Tuam community for its support, friendship and custom over the years.
