My locs are proof: I chose depth over ease.
This journey didn’t come with instant results or easy days. It asked for patience when I wanted progress, trust when I felt uncertain, and commitment when it would’ve been simpler to let go.
Every stage, awkward, beautiful, misunderstood, taught me something about myself.
I learned to sit with growth instead of rushing it.
To embrace change instead of controlling it.
To see beauty in what’s real....not just what’s polished.
My Locs carry more than time. They carry intention, resilience, and every lesson I refuse to skip.
(Some I did skip/ignore, came back triple hard) (That's for another scèal).
They remind me that becoming isn’t meant to be easy… it’s meant to be honest.
I didn’t choose this path because it was simple & aesthetic.
I chose it because it was true to me, I listened
& It chose me too! 🌿

Our ancestors wore dreadlocks as living prayers.
Time woven into gruaig(hair), memory & energies resting at the crown 👑
Each Loc carried lineage, resistance, and devotion, a quiet declaration of who they were before the world tried to name them.
Their hair was not fashion but faith, not trend but testimony, growing freely as a reminder that identity, like spirituality, was never meant to be restrained!
