🥁 Drumming Sunday 🥁
There’s an old Irish saying: “What’s for you won’t pass you.”
But what happens when something you really want begins to feel as though it may not be right for you after all?
And could something you never planned—or perhaps didn’t even want—turn out to be exactly what you needed?
That’s what I’m reflecting on in today’s Drumming Sunday. ❤️🥁

I started pulling together photos and videos from the last 19 years for this and got completely lost in it for hours.

So many different versions of life. Some forgotten, some that feel like yesterday. Boats, horses, Egypt, wild places, ordinary moments… somehow all part of the same story.

Drumming Sunday arrived a little late this week… 🌿🥁
(because weekends filled with wild nature, sea air, good conversations and drumming don’t always come with good WiFi 🤣)

This weekend I stayed with my beautiful drumming sister Louise, the same soul I drummed with in Tenerife, and the rhythm followed us all the way to Cork.

Fern-covered paths, ocean air, laughter, drums, sunlight through trees… the kind of weekend that reminds you some parts of us were never meant to live entirely indoors.

Sometimes rhythm isn’t performance.
Sometimes it’s remembering.

Sunshine doesn’t always feel light.
Sometimes it brings pressure…
to do more, be more, feel more.
Today is just a reminder—
you don’t have to match the energy around you.
You’re allowed to move at your own pace.
You’re allowed to find your own rhythm.

This week’s Drumming Sunday is a little bit special… it would have been my Dad’s birthday.
Just a moment to remember, connect… and celebrate him 💛🥁
