Tullamore Musical Society is a thriving society with over 50 present members. Tullamore Musical Society is extremely proud of its members and their achievements, both on a local and national level. We wish to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the many ‘behind the scenes’ workers that have kept our society going over the last 65 years. As I am sure you are aware that it takes a committed team of performers, committee and crew to keep a society running for such a long time. We also would like to thank our many sponsors and patrons without whom it would be impossible to put on a show at all - THANK YOU your support is very much appreciated. Our aim in Tullamore Musical Society is to continually improve upon the standard of our productions in order to entertain our loyal audiences. We had a fantastic night at our Mr and Mrs fundraiser last night in the Bridge House Hotel.
Congratulations to our Mr and Mrs winners Eileen and Mark! 👏🏻🥂 A huge thank you to all of our couples for taking part and making the night so much fun!
Thank you to Aoife Fitzsimons for hosting, Tom Nolan for sound, our MC Dubhán Goulding and to the Bridge House Hotel for having us. Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support us and make the night special.

Tullamore Musical Society is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sister Genevieve, affectionately known as Sister Genny.
Through her work with St. Mary’s Youth Centre, Sister Genny enriched community life in Tullamore, nurturing the talents of generations of young people and inspiring a lasting love of theatre.
Beginning in 1973 with the pantomime Mother Goose, followed in the same year by Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, her leadership and dedication gave so many children the opportunity to discover their talents and experience the joy of performing. Many went on to grace the stage with Tullamore Musical Society, carrying with them the love of theatre she had instilled. To this day St. Mary's Youth Centre, stages an annual musical production.
Sister Genny’s own connection with TMS began much earlier, when she made her only appearance with the Society as a chorus member in Jack and the Beanstalk in 1960, seen in the above photo!
Her legacy lives on in the performers she encouraged, the lives she touched and the community she helped bring together.
We extend our deepest sympathies to her family, religious community, friends and all who knew and loved her.
May she rest in peace.
