The woman behind Strand Apothecary 🌹

If we haven’t met yet, I thought it was time to introduce myself.
I’m Yvonne, the face behind Strand Apothecary, and I’ve worked in skincare and wellness since 1994.
I trained in CIBTAC, CIDESCO, CIBTAC Aromatherapy and Reflexology, and have had the privilege of learning from some of the industry’s leading skincare houses.
But while qualifications matter, my approach has always been about people.

Skincare is about more than what we put on our skin. It’s also about how we feel, how we’re living and sleeping, the stress we carry and sometimes simply having time where someone else looks after you.
That’s the heart of Strand Apothecary.

A calm, personal space where skincare, essential oils, reflexology and touch come together with purpose.
I’m fascinated by skin, ingredients, essential oils and perfume, and I love creating treatments and rituals that feel both beautiful and meaningful.

I offer personalised skincare and wellness treatments, facial and foot reflexology, including my signature menopause reflexology treatment, alongside a carefully chosen range of aromatherapy products and wellness essentials.

There’s also another side to me… I’m a UEFA-licensed football coach ⚽️ so I’m just as happy talking football, recovery and sport as I am serums and facial massage!

Outside the treatment room, I’m married, a mam and a grandmother. Family, cooking, music, football, sport and good conversations are all a big part of my life.
And then there’s Suggs, my dog, who firmly believes Strand Apothecary is actually his business. 🐾

After more than 30 years in this industry, I still genuinely love what I do, meeting people, helping them feel better in their skin and hearing those lovely words:
“I really needed that.”
