Ahmedabad to Accra: Where Healthcare Meets Global Partnerships 🌍

It was an honor to represent the healthcare and medical value travel sector at the Ghana-Gujarat Dialogue on Skill Opportunities, hosted by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) in observance of World Youth Skills Day.

This landmark dialogue brought together policymakers, diplomats, and industry leaders to chart a new roadmap for cross-border skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment. The presence of Shri Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya, Hon'ble Minister of Labour, Skill Development and Employment, Government of Gujarat, as Chief Guest, alongside H.E. Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso, High Commissioner of Ghana to India, and Hon. Kwasi Agyemang Gyan-Tutu, Hon'ble Minister of Investment & Tourism, Republic of Ghana, underscored the deepening ties between the two nations.

The highlight of the event was the MoU signed between EDII and the Ghana Government to undertake joint capacity building and skill development programmes for the youth of both nations. As economies become increasingly interconnected, such international collaborations provide valuable platforms to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and develop innovative approaches to address emerging trends.

For me, this dialogue reinforced a powerful vision: medical value travel is not just about patients crossing borders—it is about building trust, sharing expertise, and creating healthcare ecosystems that transcend boundaries. With over 15 years of experience in gynecological surgery and IVF treatment, I have seen firsthand how cross-border collaborations can elevate healthcare standards and create life-changing opportunities.

As H.E. Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso rightly said, "This dialogue reflects our shared commitment to creating opportunities for youth through knowledge exchange, institutional partnerships and collaborative learning". I am excited to explore how healthcare and skill development can converge to create a healthier, more empowered future for both Ghana and India.
