Wedding planning has taught me that you don’t have to spend more on everything — you just have to know what matters to you. 🤍

For me, these three are non-negotiable:

👡 Comfortable footwear — because I want to actually enjoy every function.
👀 Good lenses — because I need to see what’s happening. 😂
📸 Wedding photography — because once the wedding is over, these are the memories I’ll actually have left.

I’d rather spend a little more on something I’ll genuinely use, feel or keep than spend just because something is labelled “bridal.”

What’s one thing you’d absolutely not compromise on for your wedding? 👀

If your wedding outfit is due around Shradhs, don’t panic just looking at the delivery date. 😂🤍

I called the store to check the actual status, and luckily, my outfit was already ready almost 20 days before the mentioned delivery date.

And one more thing I learnt — even if your bill says “no Saturday/Sunday deliveries,” just ask once. We explained our situation and requested a Sunday pickup, and they agreed. 🥹

Obviously, every store may have different policies, but there’s no harm in asking politely, especially when it’s your wedding outfit.

Just make sure whatever they agree to is confirmed on WhatsApp. 🤍

Sharing this because I wish someone had told me this while I was wedding shopping. 🥹

My Haldi outfit was sorted pretty unexpectedly… and now it’s finally time to find his. 🤵🏻‍♂️💛

Today we went to Kalpraag to explore some options for his Haldi look.

We had actually checked out their website before visiting, which helped us get an idea of what we wanted to explore in-store.

And honestly, they have a really good collection! We found a few options we genuinely liked, but we’re still a little confused about the colour. 😂

We want something that looks great on him but also complements my Haldi outfit. 💛

So… his Haldi look is still a work in progress. 🥹

If you’re also figuring out your groom’s Haldi outfit, you can check out their collection online before heading to the store.

And now tell me — what colour do you think looks best on a groom for Haldi? 👀💛

Getting married doesn’t mean I suddenly need to buy everything labelled “bridal” 😂

I’m trying to be a little more intentional with what I actually buy and what I’m buying just because it’s “expected” as a bride.

Some things I genuinely need, some things I genuinely love… and some things I’m just not convinced about. 😂

But now I want to know — what’s one “bridal thing” you would happily skip? 👀

Or am I going to regret all these decisions later? 😂🤍

I genuinely thought bride shopping would be the difficult part… until groom shopping entered the chat. 😂🤵🏻‍♂️

Because brides usually have some idea of what they want — colours, silhouettes, outfits, screenshots saved, Pinterest boards… 😭

Groom se poochho:
“What do you want?” — “Anything.”
“Which colour?” — “You decide.”
“Sherwani or Indo-western?” — “Jo tumhe theek lage.” 🤡

And suddenly the bride is not just the bride…
she’s the stylist, decision-maker, personal shopper AND quality checker. 😂

After our own groom-shopping marathon, I can confidently say — groom shopping deserves WAY more credit for being difficult. 😭

Tag/forward this to a groom who thinks his wedding shopping will be done in one day. 😂🤵🏻‍♂️

The sherwani is important… but these little details are what make the whole groom look feel personal. 🤵🏻‍♂️

After going through the whole sherwani hunt for my groom, these are 3 details I’d genuinely recommend considering before you final yours:

✨ Handmade safa — instead of the usual cardboard one, if your budget allows, go for a handmade safa. It gives a much more structured & personalised look.

✨ Matching jutti detail — if you can get a little bit of the sherwani’s fabric or detailing added to the jutti, DO IT. It ties the whole look together so beautifully.

✨ Anarkali sherwani? Use the border! — we got the Anarkali border added to his safa and honestly, this tiny detail made such a difference. 🤍

These aren’t rules — just little ideas you can consider while creating your groom’s wedding look.

Send this to your groom if his sherwani is still on the shopping list. 😂🤵🏻‍♂️

And grooms-to-be, which detail would you actually try — 1, 2 or 3? 👀

Groom ki sherwani final karna sirf “yeh wali achhi lag rahi hai” bolke payment kar dena nahi hai. 😂🤵🏻‍♂️

After trying SO many sherwanis during our wedding shopping, these are the things I’d genuinely recommend checking before you final yours:

💡 Lighting — shop ki yellow lights fabric ko actual se zyada shiny dikha sakti hain.
🤵🏻‍♂️ Complete look — sherwani ke saath safa, stole, footwear & accessories bhi imagine karo.
✂️ Fitting — work kitna bhi beautiful ho, fitting can completely change the look.
📅 Delivery + alterations — dates clearly confirm kar lena.
😂 Comfort — because looking good is great, but you still have to survive hours of wedding functions in it!

We learnt these things the hard way after running around for sherwanis… so hopefully you don’t have to. 🤍

Sending this to every groom who thinks, “Meri sherwani toh ek din mein final ho jayegi.” 😂🤵🏻‍♂️
