जिनकी कुर्बत माँ भारती के श्रृंगारों से कम नहीं
याद उन वीरों की यारों वंदगी से कम नहीं
जंग में जो दुश्मनों को मारकर हासिल हुई
वो शहादत भी यक़ीनन जिंदगी से काम नहीं
बर्फ का ओढ़े कफ़न जो चढ़ रहे हैं चोटियाँ
उनकी ये हिम्मत किसी दीवानगी से काम नहीं
अपने बेटों को जो हंस कर भेज देती जंग में
ऐसी माई पन्ना और दुर्गावती से काम नहीं
जान देकर जो बचाते हैं वतन की आबरू
उनकी विधवानी किसी देवी सती नहीं
है पढ़ा इतिहास अपना और पढ़ा भूगोल भी
फिर भी हमसे जंग लड़ना खुदखुशी से कम नहीं
केवल एटम तक नहीं अपने इरादे जान लो
दुनिया वालों देख लेना हम किसी से कम नहीं
