One of the first areas to show makeup breakdown is the eyes and under-eye area. But why does it happen? The under-eye area is already delicate and constantly moving when we blink, smile, squint, or cry. Add tears and rubbing, and makeup can quickly become patchy, cakey, or separated. Common Reasons for Patchiness: • Tears sitting on the skin for too long • Rubbing or wiping the eyes repeatedly • Excessive concealer or powder application • Dry or dehydrated under-eye skin • Oil from the skin mixing with tears • Waterproof products being rubbed instead of gently blotted How to Fix It (For Brides & Anyone Helping the Bride): Don’t wipe tears across the face. Let the tear collect and gently absorb it with a tissue corner or Q-tip. Dab—never rub. If makeup starts separating, lightly press the area with a clean makeup sponge instead of adding more product immediately. Keep cotton buds, tissues, and a small powder compact handy for touch-ups. If you’re helping the bride, resist the urge to “clean” the tears by wiping. Gentle blotting is always safer. Pro Tip: The faster a tear is absorbed, the less chance it has to dissolve makeup and create those patchy under-eye spots. Even the best products aren’t designed to survive tears sitting on the skin for minutes at a time. Here smudging the kohl applied under the lower eye lashes and setting it with eyeshadow so it remains in plain. Lip balm is ideaaly supposed to be a step along with moisturiser which i forgot. Considering her younger age, I personally wouldnt prefer to make her eyebrows dark snd stark. Using skin/ tinted eye pencil to ope her eyes instead of using kajal and make her eyes look small.
