At the Indian School of Public Policy’s “Creating Next-Gen Policy Leaders for a Rising India,” he put a complex economic question simply: When technology changes the rules, who really benefits?
The poem takes inspiration from Piketty, but reminds us that bold spending on education and health is how a country shares its prosperity. At the same time, it’s honest about the challenges, and reminds us that high public spending comes with its own costs.

Healthier communities. A decade of sustained action.
Through EMBED, Godrej Consumer Products’ flagship CSR programme, efforts to address malaria and dengue have reached 30 million people across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.
Over the past decade, the programme has worked with state health departments and local communities to strengthen disease prevention, healthcare practices, and capacity building. In Madhya Pradesh, malaria cases fell by 97% between 2015 and 2025, with more than 3,000 villages and slums achieving malaria-free status.

Good governance runs on good people and systems.
The Godrej Foundation has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Maharashtra, and Samagra Development Foundation to support human resource reforms across the state government.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and our Chairperson, Pirojsha Godrej.
Over two years, the partnership will strengthen HR processes across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement. It will also bring in technology and data to help departments work more efficiently and make better decisions.
At Godrej Industries, we believe meaningful change happens when government, industry and civil society come together with a common purpose. We’re proud to support Maharashtra’s commitment to strengthening public administration.
