helmet usually does not directly cause hair fall from the roots and does not cause genetic male-pattern or female-pattern baldness.
However, wearing a helmet for long hours—especially one that is tight, poorly ventilated or unclean—can create friction, pressure, heat and sweat, which may worsen certain scalp problems.
Helmet-related scalp and hair problems
* Hair breakage: Repeated rubbing against the inner padding can break the hair shaft, particularly when hair is dry, chemically treated or tied tightly.
* Frictional thinning: A very tight helmet repeatedly rubbing the same area may rarely cause localised thinning. Hair generally regrows after the friction is corrected.
* Scalp pimples or folliculitis: Sweat, oil, dead skin and friction from helmets can block or irritate follicles, producing itchy or painful bumps.
* Worsening dandruff or seborrhoeic dermatitis: Heat, sweating and prolonged occlusion may increase greasiness, itching and scaling in susceptible people.
* Contact irritation: Helmet padding, accumulated sweat, detergent residue or an unwashed liner may cause redness, burning or itching.
* Hair pulling: Wearing a tight ponytail, bun, clips or turban beneath the helmet can create traction and contribute to hair loss over time.

Know the science behind Hairfall , stay learned ,nit just influenced by non scientific advertisements and false claims about results
Because around 10–15% of hairs are naturally in telogen, some shedding occurs every day.
How Much Hair Fall Is Normal?
In healthy individuals:
* 50–100 hairs/day is considered normal.
* Up to 150 hairs/day may still be physiological in people with:
* Long hair
* Thick hair density
* Hair wash days (because hairs shed over several days are released together For example:
If you have 100,000 hairs and 10% (10,000 hairs) are in telogen over approximately 100 days, then:
10,000 ÷ 100 = about 100 hairs shed daily
This is why the commonly quoted figure of 50–100 hairs/day makes biological sense.

Every child deserves healthy skin, good health, and compassionate care.
Grateful to have been part of a skin health camp at Mankhurd Children’s Home, serving alongside a dedicated team of doctors. The camp was organised as part of BPCL’s Cleanliness Week initiative, which also included the donation of dustbins and water purifiers, along with general medical and skin health check-ups.
A thoughtful reminder that cleanliness extends beyond our surroundings to our skin, our health, and our overall well-being. Happy to have contributed, in a small way, to the health and smiles of these wonderful children.
