Henna Leaves Prices Shoot up to All Time high due to lower productivity in the annual harvest season. The reason for such low yield is extremely low rainfall. Henna crop this year has shown half the yield as compared to last year causing a 2x increase in the leaf auctions prices. Good quality henna products this year will be pricy and there will be a increase in demand of chemical products and mixing because of high prices of original high quality henna. Be carefull and trust suppliers only who you know and care for quality.

The most satisfying feeling for a henna manufacturer or a henna artist is to mix mehndi with love and if the quality is premium, the joy is unreal.

The quality that you use on your hands and hair, have everything to do with how it was grown. Many people's role in there to keep the natural dye intact.

Henna is a plant naturally suited to hot, dry conditions, and in Rajasthan, hot and dry weather during maturity is associated with better dye quality.

The crop is drought-tolerant and, with proper cutting/coppicing, can remain productive for 15–20 years or more.

Harvesting is generally done when the flower buds begin to form. After harvesting, the leafy branches are dried quickly, preferably in shade, to help retain the green colour and quality of the leaves.
