A heartbreaking video from a wedding in Nepal has gone viral, stirring widespread outrage and debate across social media. In the clip, a young bride can be seen visibly distressed and crying uncontrollably as she is forcefully lifted by a man—believed to be her father—and placed onto a traditional wedding horse. Throughout the ordeal, the bride cries out “Mummy, Mummy” in desperation, her voice filled with fear and helplessness. The disturbing visuals have led many viewers to believe that the marriage may have been arranged without the girl’s full consent, sparking accusations of a forced marriage. The girl’s intense emotional breakdown and unwillingness to participate in the ceremony have only fueled concerns about the pressure and expectations placed on young women in traditional wedding customs. Thousands of users have shared and commented on the video, expressing shock and sadness over what appears to be a deeply traumatic moment for the bride. While some argue it reflects cultural norms, others have called for greater awareness and dialogue around the issue of consent, especially in arranged marriages. #forced #forcedmarriage #womenrights #women #viral #arrangemarriage #womensafety #consent #nepal #nepali #wedding #nepalwedding #traumatic #bride #cryingforhelp #crying #mummy #helpless #heartbreaking 22/10/2025
