Why I stopped obsessing over fixing my body + food
For me it actually started draining me to the point I couldn’t un-notice
Here I am at lets say 27/28, and I can’t think of the last time I didn’t think about calories, my stomach, how I looked from different angels
And not only was it draining every inch of my life, it was BORING
My mind was feeling small, my imagination felt even smaller
My mood became dependant on my body and equally, my body was blamed for my moods
I always kept thinking, there HASSSSSS to be more to me than this, there has to be more to life than how my body looks ffs
And obsessing over it was quite literally doing nothing for me
So with a deep breathe, and a few arguments with myself - I HAD to choose differently
And it lead me to:
Learning how to actually feel my emotions instead of immediately feeling ‘fat’ the second I felt uncomfortable
Retraining my brain to look at nutritional value over calories
Wearing the bikini even when I wasn’t size 8 & ignoring the chatter from my brain
Unfollowing people online, choosing comfier clothes & moving my body with love and intention (not as something to fix)
The process has been uncomfortable yes, but no way near as uncomfortable as the mindset I was in before
And the most interesting thing has happened!!
I eat the most flexibly I ever have (and probably the most kcal per day)
I train to gain muscle not to get smaller
And I don’t track anything - not food, not my steps, not my weight (I don’t own an apply watch or scales)
And yet I feel the most confident I ever have - because I have built one thing I never had before, self trust and worth beyond my body

MAY 🐝🌞🩷👙🌷
The best thing that came out of my binge eating specialist qualification was the realisation that binge eating is so impersonal. Yes, we can have emotional triggers that are specific to our own journey however binge eating is part of our survival brain, which is wired for safety and food can often feel like that safety.
Which is also why it can be so hard to let go of 😔
But realising this, helped me to finally stop identifying with it as not only did the qualification help me to bring other women to freedom. It brought me to freedom as well, and for that I am eternally grateful ✨
Once I healed binge eating, I got my life back in ways I never could’ve imagined - it has honestly been the most beautiful journey I’ve ever been on ❤️
And I know it will be for you too

Grateful that so many of you have witnessed this journey and been SO supportive
Binging, weight loss, self hate - it all gets VERY lonely and isolating
Especially when you feel ashamed, which I really did 🥹
I look back now and I think, yes its a shame I didnt know better at the time
However, this journey of healing my relationship to food and my body has done SO much for my life
More than I ever could have thought possible
I never thought id be able to go out for dinner without anxiety, I didn’t think I could wear a bikini and feel comfortable at the beach, I didn’t think I’d be able to be present without body checking 50x
I never thought life could be this good 🙏🏼
And with all my heart, I want to bring you on this journey too
The journey back home to yourself

Have 9:
• Warm drinks instead of icy drinks→ helps my digestion, bloating & energy. Ice cold drinks were making me feel sluggish and inflamed
• Less coffee→ my anxiety, cortisol, cravings & puffiness have improved SO much. I don’t constantly feel wired and depleted woo
• Gua sha (even just using my hands)→ reduces puffiness, boosts circulation & gives that more sculpted/glowy look when I do it consistently
• Slow eating→ less bloating, better digestion, fewer cravings. DYK your body can actually register fullness when you slow down :)
• Swapping harsh products for more natural ones (thank u YUKA app)→ my skin became less irritated, less reactive & overall healthier looking
• Eating mostly whole foods→ more nutrients = better skin, hormones, digestion, energy and way less inflammation
• Resting more→ cortisol affects EVERYTHING - when I stopped running on stress, my face, body and nervous system softened too
• Morning sunlight→ helped regulate my hormones, sleep, mood & cravings more than any supplement ever had
• More walking, less intense workouts→ my body looks leaner, less inflamed and I don’t feeling constantly exhausted
Neuroscience also shows that when we feel healthy, regulated, energised and self-respecting… we naturally become more attractive
Not just physically but in our energy, posture, confidence, facial expressions and presence
Your body reflects how safe, nourished and cared for it feels 🤍
The biggest glow up honestly came from supporting my body… not fighting it
If you’re thinking about dropping your calories for summer… just listen for a sec
I wanna give you a mindset shift that will genuinely change the game
(and yes, it’s backed by science but also… real life)
Firstly… can we not make 2026 about getting as small as possible again 😭🥱
What if this year was about getting strong, confident… and actually feeling good in your body?
Glowing! Energised! Not thinking about food 24/7 🥰
Honestly, it’s not just calories in vs calories out
I know that’s what we’ve all been told but it’s not the full picture
When you keep dropping your calories:
- your body gets stressed
- your hormones get thrown off
- your metabolism slows down
- and you end up thinking about food ALL the time
…and then wondering why you “lose control”
Binge eating goes up
Body shame goes up
And you feel like you’re the problem
You’re not
So instead of asking: How little can I eat?
Start asking:
- how can I actually fuel myself properly?
- how strong can I get?
- how can I move my body in a way that feels GOOD?
- how can I eat in a way that keeps me full and satisfied?
- how can I sleep better, feel better, live better?
This is the shift: Stop trying to shrink your body…
and start expanding your life
Because when you do this properly fat loss feels easier, consistency feels easier
And you’re not in that constant start again Monday cycle
Restriction is old news and it’s also the reason you’re stuck
I wanna see the boldest, happiest, most confident version of you this year
Not the smallest
Start showing your body you’re safe to have more… and just watch what happens 👀✨
Sometimes we cannot slow down because…
> we are used to/addicted to stress
> sometimes it’s because our motivations are to ‘prove’ ourselves or because we simply cannot stand where we are now
> sometimes we simply don’t feel safe enough
> and often, we don’t even know how to anymore
Social media heightens this a lot, as the highlight reel is constantly pushing message that we should be doing more, being more, achieving more
So much so we are literally forgetting to LIVE and be present
Always always chasing the next thing
Distracting
Why build a successful career or business if you’re then too busy to share the success with your loved ones?
Have you ever asked yourself: Why do you need to go so fast? You can achieve SO much by being super intentional & smart with your time
Being rich in life doesn’t always mean money. It can mean an abundance of healthy, love, friendship, food, time…
We are SO quick to put status and how we look to the outside world as the highest matter of importance
But forget to focus on how our lives actually FEEL
3 questions to ask yourself today:
1. What is your motivation? (Really)
2. What are you scared you’ll lose if you slow down?
3. If you knew it would ALL work out, and you could 100% choose to slow down, what is the first thing you’d do?
