This is 20 hrs post microneedling, you can see the difference between this photo and my previous two post, my redness has gone down substantially, my face feels tight, but I quite like that, as though my skin is working from within to heal and restore. This morning I cleansed just with cool water and then applied a non active restorative moisturizer. I have no filter on this photo, and no makeup apart from mascara and eyebrow pencil .. the only slight discomfort I had was when the heat from my hairdryer caught my skin, just slightly more sensitive then normal, but that’s to be expected, and every skin is different.

4 hrs post microneedling

Micro needling.. so in between clients I performed this treatment on myself. Don’t be worried about micro needling .. it doesn’t have to be a blood bath! Erythema is all you need (redness) and as you can see I am red, but that’s the results you want. The photo doesn’t really show, but there is some pin point bleeding and that’s ok too. I used needle depths of 0.25 and 0.5 (no numbing cream for me, but I will use this in salon) these depths are shallow but were deep enough to address my concerns, which are hyperpigmentation and skin rejuvenation, fine lines and wrinkles. These micro channels can remain open for 24 hrs but by now my first stage of re texturing and addressing my concerns has already started. My natural immune response has kicked in producing a whole bunch of reactions that will leave my skin more radiant and, within time, sort out my hyperpigmentation, this will need a course of treatments but within a few days I will see results. Like most treatments it’s not instant overnight, acne scars and lines/wrinkles will take a few more treatments but I can honestly say within a few days my skin will look better.. at the moment it feels like mild sun burn but that will pass in a day. After 24 hrs I can use resume a gentle skin care routine but today it’s just being left. The treatment I perform in the salon includes 2 takeaway products for specific use after micro needling so you have something to put on your face, and not worry about what to use. I’ll post another photo tomorrow and you will see the redness diminishing. I love this treatment, love having it , even though I have to do it myself, but also love performing this treatment on clients. If you look at the facts of microneedling it makes complete sense that this treatment will work. Can’t wait to start my journey with . This treatment was performed with my own other microneedling device that I have , but this post really is just to say don’t be worried about this treatment.. it’s not a fad treatment, it works, and very much an alternative to injectables for clients that don’t want to go down that route! X
