I’m Speaking at Word on the Street Toronto!
I’m excited to share that this Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM, I’ll be taking the stage as a Soapbox Science speaker at Word on the Street Toronto!
As a biotechnology scientist, professor, entrepreneur, and cosmetic scientist, I’m passionate about exploring the science behind plants and how they can support health and wellness.

My talk will dive into the question:
Can plants really help treat common illnesses?
Growing up in Jamaica, I was introduced to the traditional use of medicinal plants from an early age. Today, my scientific journey has allowed me to explore these traditional claims through biotechnology, research, extraction, and evidence-based science.
I’m looking forward to sharing what science tells us about the potential of plants, challenging misconceptions, and showing how traditional knowledge and modern science can meet.
