N.C.B. Foundation is proud to support the Governor-General’s Programme for Excellence (GGPE) Summer of Service Scholarship Programme by sponsoring two tertiary students for the 2026/27 academic year.

Pictured is one of our scholarship recipients, who completed 96 hours of community service through the programme, demonstrating that education is not only about academic success, but also about service, impact, and giving back.

N.C.B. Foundation provided J$250,000 in support to Netball Jamaica, assisting squad members who are students with back-to-school expenses , as well as costs associated with  participation in upcoming games.

Additionally, the Foundation awarded a tertiary grant to Kiara Goffe, a netball and basketball athlete, to assist with her tuition expenses and support her continued academic development.

N.C.B. Foundation donated $500,000 to the 2026 National Reading Competition hosted by the Jamaica Library Service. 65 parish champions from across Jamaica competed for the title of National Champion across respective age groups.

N.C.B. Foundation donated J$500,000 in book vouchers to support the children of members of the Jamaica Society for the Blind (JSB) as they prepare for the new academic year.
The day was filled with fun, care and community as the N.C.B. Foundation team, supported by JSB volunteers, engaged the children in games and activities, while medical professionals provided back-to-school medicals to help get them school ready.

A special thank you to Jamaica Biscuit Company for providing snacks and Patsy Lyn Caterers for providing lunch for our volunteers.

Recovery is about creating the conditions for children to learn, grow and thrive again.

When Hurricane Melissa damaged Mt. Alvernia Prep School’s solar energy system, it affected more than infrastructure. It disrupted the learning environment for hundreds of students. Through the N.C.B. Foundation’s Grant a Wish initiative, Chair Thalia Lyn, together with her husband, helped restore the school’s solar capacity, supporting a more resilient future for the children and staff.

Every child deserves a safe, reliable place to learn.
