Mechanical exfoliation is the most traditional way of exfoliating the skin which is when you use scrubs or any cleanser that has beads in it. Chemical exfoliation which is my personal fav is when you use chemicals such as AHAs, BHAs or enzymes to remove dead cells from the skin. Now, it is very important to note that EXFOLIATING SHOULD NOT BE DONE EVERYDAY. The amount of times you should exfoliate per week really depends on your skin type or skin concern but to be on the safe side once a week is perfectly fine. Now that we’ve covered that, exfoliating (when done properly) can literally transform your skin!

Everyone, whether male or female should always have a moisturizer at home that suits their skin type. I know I’ve heard persons say they’ve used moisturizers that don’t work for their skin, it actually made it worse, well… there are different types of moisturizers. You have moisturizers that are water based (humectant) and you have moisturizers that are oil based(emollient). Oil based moisturizers don’t work well for acne prone skin.
